Fire Alarm System

Fire Alarm System

The Vital Necessity of early warning in case of fire needs no emphasis. Every second counts. Earlier the warning, lesser is the effort in the fire fighting and damaged caused. To prevent damage due to spread of fire and loss of lives, every potential fire hazard location where combustibles are stored or handled, needs a reliable automatic fire alarm system.

Features

1. Multi Zone
2. Automatic
3. Reliable
4. User Friendly

Basic layout of Fire Alarm System

Fire Control Panel :

  1. Ionization Smoke Detector : The sensing part of the detector consists of two chambers an open outer chamber and a semi sealed chamber within.
As the smoke enters the detector , it causes a reduction of the current flow in the outer chamber and hence as increase in the voltage measured at the junction between the two chambers. the voltage increased by an electronic circuitry which triggers the detector into the alarm state at present threshold. An externally visible LED will light up when the detector changes to alarm state
  2. Optical Smoke Detector: Optical smoke detectors incorporate a pulsing LED located in a labyrinth with in the housing of the detector. The labyrinth is designed to exclude light from any external source. At an angle to the LED in a photo diode which normally does not register the column of light emitted by the LED.
In the event of smoke from a fire entering the labyrinth the light pulse from the LED will be scattered and hence registered by the photo diode. if the diode sees smoke on the two following pulses, the detector changes to the alarm state when the indicator LED will light up.
  3. Heat Detector : Heat Detector are resettable and operate by using a matched pair of thermistors to sense heat. One thermistor id exposed to the ambient temperature, the other is sealed. In normal conditions the two thermistors register similar temperatures, but on the development of a fire, the temperature recorded by the exposed thermistor will increase rapidly, resulting in an imbalance of the thermistors and causing the detector to change to the alarm state.

Manual Call Point : The Manual call point conforms to para 6.32 of IS 2189-1988 in MS housing of RED color with hammer and chain to break glass. The glass surface is 30 cm sq in area and the thickness is 2mm.

Response Indicator : Whenever the detector are located above the false ceiling, below false flooring or in a closed cabins, response indicators shall be provided for quick identification of the fire location and for convenient testing of the detectors.
